About albume: - allmusic.com
Always on the lookout for the latest innovations in Afro-Latin music, vibes giant Cal Tjader joined forces with Airto Moreira in 1975 to produce this challenging session. Moreira did not function in his familiar role as percussionist, however; instead, as producer he recruited a band filled with the most innovative players from Brazil (including Egberto Gismonti, Hermeto Pascoal, and Robertinho Silva) and gave them a rich program arranged by the already bi-cultural George Duke (who also performs under the пот de disque Dawilli Gonga). As usual, Tjader rose to the challenge and created one of the major statements of his final decade, which is expanded in this CD release with the longer and previously unissued version of the exploratory "Cahuenga."
