- Spoiler:
- This is very much an acoustic album, more in the spirit of Standards (and other Songs) than any of his previous albums. And as far as I'm concerned it's his best album to date.
Mike refrained from using any distortion on this album (except on the Hendrix-tune), which makes the album sound less "rockish" than all of the previous ones, quite refreshing.
Though Mike's technical and improvisatory skills are clearly present, the album shows how much Mike has grown as an artist.
